The Basics

Sly Fox is a free game where you predict what will happen in the world of video games. Questions can be about release dates, review scores, announcements, events, game status, and other outcomes that can be checked using real-world information. You play with Coins, never real money.To begin, create an account with an invite code. If you do not have a code, join the waitlist from the sign-up page. After signing in, browse available predictions on the home page and open one that interests you. You do not need to understand complicated math to play.

What Is a Prediction Market?

A prediction market is a group forecast. Sly Fox asks a question about the future and gives players two or more possible outcomes. Players put Coins behind the outcome they believe is most likely. Those bets create a changing estimate of what the group currently expects.Think of it as a scoreboard for beliefs. If new information makes an outcome look more likely, players may bet on it and its displayed percentage may rise. If players become less confident, it may fall. The goal is to make thoughtful predictions and see how your judgment compares with the crowd.

How to Read a Prediction

Read the question, closing time, and resolution information carefully. Small details matter: these tell you when betting stops, what outcome counts, when a result is expected, and which sources will be used to decide it.

Question — the event or result you are predicting.
Outcomes — the answers you can choose from, such as Yes and No or several score ranges.
Percentage — the current chance estimate displayed for each outcome.
Closes — the point after which no new bets are accepted.
Resolves — when Sly Fox expects to confirm the result, if that timing is known.
Resolution details — the rules and evidence used to decide the winning outcome.

Always answer the question as written, not a similar question you have in mind. For example, a game entering early access may not count as a full release if the resolution details say it does not.

What Do the Percentages Mean?

The percentage is the crowd's current estimate of how likely an outcome is. It is not a promise or guarantee, and it is not necessarily the percentage of players who chose that answer. Bet sizes and the game's calculation both matter.

25% means the outcome looks possible but unlikely right now.
50% means the outcome looks roughly even — about as likely to happen as not.
75% means the outcome looks likely, but the crowd can still be wrong.

The estimate changes as players place bets. Betting on an outcome usually pushes its percentage higher; betting on another outcome usually pushes it lower. News can change how people bet, so the number can move even when the real-world result has not happened yet.A high percentage does not mean “safe,” and a low percentage does not mean “impossible.” Use the question, available evidence, and your own judgment rather than following the crowd automatically.

How to Place a Bet

Open a prediction and read its question and resolution details.
Choose the outcome you think will win.
Enter how many Coins you want to risk, or use the quick-add buttons.
Review the displayed percentage and possible total payout.
Select Bet Coins to submit the bet.

After the bet is accepted, a confirmation appears and the position is saved to your account. If an error message appears, follow its instructions; common reasons include a wager below the minimum, trying to bet after closing, or not having enough Coins.

Coins and Potential Winnings

Coins you bet are at risk: they leave your available balance when the bet is placed, and you lose them if your outcome is wrong. The Win Amount is the total payout if you are right and includes the Coins you bet; it is not extra profit on top of that total.The potential payout is recorded when your bet is placed. It does not change if the displayed percentage moves later. A new bet placed later may receive a different possible payout because the crowd estimate has changed.Outcomes the crowd considers less likely generally offer a larger possible return because they are harder to predict correctly. Outcomes considered more likely generally offer a smaller return. The bet panel performs the calculation for you before you submit.You receive a starting balance and can claim a free daily bonus when you return. Starting balances and bonus amounts can change, so the amount shown in your account is the current amount. If you run out, return for a later free bonus rather than creating another account.

What Happens Next?

You can place more than one bet on a prediction, including bets on different outcomes. Each bet keeps the amount, selected outcome, possible payout, and placement time it had when accepted. Betting on both sides does not guarantee a profit, because each bet risks Coins under its own terms.Other players may continue betting until the prediction closes, so the displayed percentages can keep moving. Your existing bet stays recorded. Once the real-world outcome is confirmed, winning bets receive their recorded payouts and losing bets receive zero.

Prediction Statuses

Open

Betting is available and the percentages may change.

Closed or awaiting resolution

A closed prediction accepts no more bets, but it is not necessarily decided yet. Sly Fox is waiting for the outcome or enough reliable information to apply the resolution rules.

Resolved

The winning outcome has been confirmed. Winning positions are paid, losing positions receive no payout, and the result appears in player history and statistics.

Cancelled

A prediction may be cancelled when its outcome cannot be determined fairly, its rules cannot be applied, or required information never becomes available. When cancelled, the Coins you wagered are refunded and the prediction does not count as a win or loss.

My Predictions

Track every bet on the positions page. Open and awaiting positions show what you selected, how many Coins you risked, and the possible payout. Finished positions show whether they won, lost, or were refunded. Your account's Bet History also provides a chronological record of settled activity.

The Leaderboard

The leaderboard compares active players using several kinds of performance. A strong rank in one category does not automatically mean a strong rank in every category.

Total Coins won — compares net Coin performance over the selected period.
Wins this week — counts winning settled positions during the week.
Betting accuracy — shows the percentage of settled positions that won.
Best winning streak — compares each player's longest run of consecutive wins.

Cancelled and refunded positions are not treated as wins or losses. Rankings can change as more predictions resolve.

Invites and Referrals

New accounts currently require a valid invite code. Eligible players may receive codes they can share. A code can expire, be revoked, or be used only as allowed by the invitation screen. Do not sell codes, create fake accounts, or coordinate sign-ups to collect rewards unfairly.When a referred player joins successfully, the inviter may receive the reward currently shown in the account area. Reward amounts and availability can change. If you do not have a code, use the waitlist instead of making repeated sign-up attempts.

Where Results Come From

Sly Fox uses real-world evidence rather than choosing winners based on staff preference. Depending on the question, sources may include IGDB for game and event information, OpenCritic for review scores, official publisher or developer announcements, official broadcasts, and credible reporting.Each prediction's resolution details control. A primary source may be cross-checked or replaced by a stated fallback when it is missing, delayed, or clearly wrong. Resolution can take time when sources disagree or have not been updated.

Your Account and Support

Account settings let you update supported profile details, change your email or password, view invites and bet history, and request account deletion. A deletion request deactivates access immediately and begins a 30-day grace period before personal profile details are anonymized.If something looks wrong or this guide does not answer your question, email support@slyfox.bet.
